Anyone who knows a good REALTOR, I am sure has seen them coming and going with the phone glued to their ear. I know this, because I work with a bunch of good Realtors and the phone is our lifeline. I am on the phone from morning til the late hours of night, weekends, in the car, at the beach, in the line for the movies, picking up groceries, etc. etc. etc. The cell phone feels like an extension of my own hand!
And it should be. Real Estate is a contact soport. The more people I contact, the more transactions I will make, period. I was shocked to find out, however, that my monthly cell phone minutes average in the 6,000 minutes per month range. That means I am on the phone 100 hours every month. About 95% of these minutes are business calls meaning I spend an average of 4 to 5 hours per business day on the phone.
When I stop to think about it, it makes sense. My phone battery is just about dead every week night. And when I am not on the phone, I am either listing a home, showing homes, or doing research on the MLS. Real estate is a contact sport, and I am not afraid of contact.
